What is the foundation of cooking? Your grandmother probably had one simmering on her stove every day, all day. That's right, stocks. Stocks are, indeed, the foundation of cooking. They are the basis for soups and sauces and they are the perfect medium for cooking rice, pasta and noodles. In this show, Chefs Brian and Brian will make a white stock and a brown stock.
